er, the USA are ranked 7th in the world. They're actually pretty good at the game these days. A draw was a good result.

To be fair, USA are 7th in the world (although they don't play like a side that are seventh) and have an amazing youth setup at grass roots level which we don't.Other than that, all you can do is pray you're brazilian and only need a beach or alleyway to play on.
USA have better players than us anyway.

The US don't have to play anything like the quality of teams we have to in Europe (although it's not like we often beat the diddy ones either), so there's a certain degree of fallacy in the rankings. Still, the US are - on paper - much better than us.

I will happily make a bet that USA will win a world cup within the next 6 world cups. Oh and Mexico are ranked about 5th in the world. Both of them above England
