Can anyone tell me what this building is on the right of the picture? This must be screamingly obvious but I just can't get my bearings!
http://www.aberdeencity.gov.uk/acc/Y.../Tallships.jpg Also, anyone have a hunch where this picture was taken from? http://www.aberdeencity.gov.uk/acc/Y...IWharbour1.jpg |

first one is the big spire ur on about? thats the building next to shoreporters /exile studios facing the harbour. The church on the left of the picture is on the walkway up to Tiger Tiger.
Second one is probably from Salvesen (Sp?) tower, next to where the ferry dock is. |

the second photo was taken from the tall building in the middle of the harbour.

A photo of the Harbour Board's building (and many other excellent photos of the harbour from years gone by) can be found here if you're interested:
http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?im...ial_s%26sa%3DN The building second from the left (with the 3 dorma windows) is the The Moorings (formerly Simon McLeods) and Richards Tattoo parlour (formerly the Baltic Boot Store). The paper store next along with the pointy roof, right along to the end of the Harbour Board's offices (building with clock tower), were later demolished to build the monstrosity known as Virginia Street. |
