Postscript: My girlfirend arrive on the scene just as the police were handcuffing me. She was escorted by this guy, with long hair, who had been standing at the bus stop. The guy with long hair goes up to the police and said "I saw the whole thing. That gang attacked this man. He was only defending himself". Then he makes eye contact with me and smiles. So the police appologise release me, and offer to call an ambulance to take me to casualty (which I decline because we're going to a Christmas dance.

Pity there weren't video phones back then because I'm sure my girlfriend would have filmed it.

I was once walking up from the beach when three little neds started throwing stuff at me so I ignored it, then they did it again so I just turned round really fast and shouted "who did that?" and they all pointed at each other so I just said "fucking grow up" and they crossed the road and ran away.

I felt so hard.

I cant think of having any trouble with neds. But the other day I was walking down the street and accidently bumped into a ned with a can of cider in his hand. He turned to me and I began to think "oh fuck, here we go" but then he shook my hand and asked me where he could buy a bandana and went on his way.

I normally just ignore them. Its always amusing when you see one on their own and they are far too wimpy too say anything to you.
They do seem to have a thing about hair whether it be facial, long or just none!

i usually find if you ignore them it annoys them more. Engage with banter in a non threatening manner and eventually they will fuck off, or wont noticeif you high tail it down the stairs onto correction wynd and run to the green as fast as possible.

I never see any trouble with neds in town to be honest. I guess i'm just lucky.
