Default Hitler better than Tony

Adolf Hitler beats Tony Blair in a poll of the best leaders in history

Adolf got 20th while Blair was trailing with 25th. No prizes for guessing who came first

Don't sound so surprised. Hitler was a good leader, if you recognise politics as being unethical, which it has been since Machiavelli put pen to paper

I don't call slaughtering several million of your own people, based on ethnicity alone, and leading your nation into a world war, which it subsequently lost with great loss of life on all sides, a stunning example of leadership.

I think what he meant is that Hitler... at the peak of the nazi party's leadership... made the German people feel like they were number one (ignoring all the policies and what he did) and that he got people to follow him blindly forward. The people trusted him and believed every word he said, he made Germany feel like the super race... and I guess for that... he was a good leader to the people of Germany.

I am ignoring all the policies... the mass slaughter etc.

You must have known I'd swoop in to defend Adolf

Blair isn't a particularly good leader, he contradicts himself and isn't perceived to be his own man... that's probably why he's done so badly.

I think you are missing the point, yip, hitler was a cyant, but he was a good leader. (not good meaning "good" (I sound like run DMC).
"efficent" "effective" etc...

remember, he thought he was right, and so did the people following him...

that still doesn't make him a good leader.

Instigating a process of safe democratic reform doesn't make a great leader either. It may make good governance, but not a great leader. Ideas are more important than actions, and Hitler was inspiring and strong-willed

Please don't jump on me for being a Nazi, I'm not arguing their cause

He had good leadership skills... that's what makes a good leader.

His policies and actions have nothing to do with it.

The ability to lead is only determined by the willingness of others to follow
