A couple of weeks ago I rather amusingly set off my burgular alarm at 2am upon returning from a gig. 30 seconds of panic, and mockery from Leif Erikson, and the damn thing was stopped. However, I was frozen still in bed as I was convinced any movement would result in the sensors setting it off again

Sort of, I was fixing a gas detector (On an oilrig) and isolated the wrong one before working on it.
Needless to say, the hooters went off and everyone was out of their beds and standing outside by the lifeboats freezing.
That really boosted my popularity.

Yup.

I was using the grill and it was done so I went to lift them out of the grill and it touched the heated bits and the already charred toast caught fire.

That was pretty rad.
