Off the top of my head....

1) A big scarf/pashmina type thing, preferably white cashmere (protection from the cold or the Sun).

2) Some kind of big travel book, I'm a big fan of travel writing (amusement and possible clues as to where I might be).

3) Sunglasses (my eyes are a nightmare in the sun).

Putting aside practical things, which are just boring, I would bring...

1. My entire book collection, and if only one was allowed, then 'The Bell Jar' by Sylvia Plath or 'Heart of Darkness' by Joseph Conrad.

2. My photo albums.

3. A vast quantity of Sauvignon Blanc.
