Default And we think we have it bad!!!

I found these pictures on the net of a recent cold snap in Canada.
I guess the wave went over the top and it was a very very cold night.

And we complain about the snow eh!!

Considering the weight of water i doubt that the branches would be able to withstand such strain and how come there's nothing on the walls of the houses when (going by the direction of the 'icicles' on the trees) the wind would have blown all the rain towards the wall.....

Speaking of cold, my friend from Gomel in Belarus says it was -20 the other week... that's insane.

I remember seeing these in the paper, though I think they were taken on the shore of Lake Geneva, not in Canada.

True. It's a combination of severe cold and strong winds blowing spray off the Lake, which builds up over time as a solid layer of ice.
