Ach just drink some coffee and chill out. I add caramel fudge flavour cadburys hot chocolate stuff to mine for added flavour.

Listen to loud punk as well. That'll learn your neighbours and also wake you up. I recommend 'Kill The Police' by Runnin' Riot. And then you won't be able to hear the seagulls taunting you from outside either.

Insomnia is generally ok. It's worrying if you don't sleep for three days which was the case for me once. You could always just do nothing and see if you get bored enough to just drift off
