Default the homeless are lucky...

at least the ones in the uk. okay, so we got bad weather, but i'd rather be homeless here than in other places such as ethiopia. where people literally starve to death. now heres a thought.

different world though. you can say that for a lot of things. eg " finish your dinner. there are kids all over the world starving"

no one gives a shit. just the way things go. i wouldnt say homeless people have it easy.

i suppose but it would still suck.

i was told today that a lot of people arent actually homeless, pretending to be is their job, and its basically like making a proper "wage". i was also told this was in the papers a few weeks ago or something, and that they even have like selected times where they each get the spots where most money is made.

but thats just what i was told.

I decided to test this theory and walked up to a homeless person and told him how lucky he was.

He responded by saying he agreed, and that he could be in Ethiopia or Sudan, and that he was fortuitous to have no home, education, or close family and to have become addicted to alcohol and drugs as a result of his destitution. Fortuitous in the sense that he has all these things in the UK.

Then he started singing Rule Britannia and my heart swelled with pride...

This one could go down alongside Marie Antoinette's 'Let them eat cake' in the history of silly things to say about the less fortunate...
