my new computer came today after a faulty wire was fixed. It's a beast. It's a Mesh 3.2 GHz with 1GB RAM, a 256MB Graphics Card and a 200GB Hard Drive. Got a nice silver and black flat screen TFT, though the picture quality ain't as great as my old monitor it looks well nicer

other than your monitor, that sounds sweet.

Monitor wize, I would take resolution/refresh over flatness any day.

CRT are much better for games, but a nice TFT is really good when you sit starring at it alll day!

I think my TFT does really well for games. To be honest I don't notice the difference between it and CRT.

I quite fancy another TFT. i want two so i can have a split screen. a third one would be awesome for games like Doom and the like

mind you... i'm a geek though

I quite like these new TFTs on the Uni computers...(Apart from the thousands of fingerprints on them!)

Plus, my CRT monitor at home blocks out the sun.

I prefer CRT, it's more meaty

CRT is far better having watched DVD's on the new one. My old monitor is ace but its white and it's huge and parents don't like that!
