Default Virus Help

A friend of mine has some major virus related problems...any recommendations of free things to help out. He can't use explorer or start menu and gets porn everytime he opens IE. Perhaps reinstalling windows and a format would be best?

ZoneAlarm is shit. Fair enough it can block most ad-ware, but it tends to get annoying if it keeps asking if an application is allowed to access the internet every 2 minutes

there's a wonderful thing attached to it so that you can go "remember this setting" and guess what? It does!

incidentally - mole is right - ditch IE and go for firefox!

I'm not a tit, and i configured that as soon as i installed it. There is always the message "do you want (then a number resembling an IP) to access the internet?", and the number is different each time

It is irritating
