Oh well, midnight opening so i'll have all night to complete it and be an achievement whore. This is the highlight of my year!

Do I have to pay for the privilege?

yes, with one of the 360 wireless adapters Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adaptor (Xbox 360): Amazon.co.uk: PC & Video Games. i dont know if any old USB wireless adapter will work, would save a lot of money if they did though, cos the official 360 ones are stupidly expensive.

and you dont need to pay to put it on the internet (well, aside from obvious ISP costs etc), but if you want to play against other people, you'll need an Xbox Live Gold account. £5 a month by direct debit, or £35 Xbox LIVE Gold 12-Month Membership Card (Xbox 360): Amazon.co.uk: PC & Video Games for the year

Yes you can - there are wireless network adapters available for the 360 but they cost £50ish. Not sure if any (cheap) wireless adapter would be compatible with it or not, I haven't tried it, but it would be worth looking into if you want to save some pennies.

There wouldn't be any extra charge for using it once you had the adapter thing though, it treats it the same as it would if you had wires.

I'm considering getting gold, but I don't seem to play the online games that much (I most play RPG's when I do play xbox). My mate has been bitching for me to get left 4 dead so I may well do that at some point

I'm 'capn euan'. I have Call of Duty: World At War, NBA 2k9, FIFA 10, Skate 2, GTA IV, umm... that's pretty much it. If you fancy an easy win at any of those then add me. Although, my connection's always fairly terrible for FIFA, any ideas why?

It was the same when GTA first came out. I think it's just a heavily played game online. When Fifa first came out, you couldn't get on the EAfootballworld website for love nor money. Everything Fifa related on the internet was just broken!
