Default o2?

Currently looking at Broadband and a phone contract aswell, so far everything looks great, sign up to the phone contract £25 a more than enough texts i'd need for the year and enough minutes for me to randomly call anyone i fancy for a chat and not nee to watch the clock.

From getting this phone contract i then get the premium broadband deal, up to 20meg download speed, unlimited usage with McAfee internet security on up to three computers for less than a tenner a month.

So all in theory it's looking good to me and my flat mate. But what do the people with user experience say about o2?

Don't be surprised if you can't use wap/mobile web on your mobile, as O2 have been having issues with their data network.
Not really heard anything bad about the broadband.

Not fussed about the internet on my phone, more just that when we cheap skate students want our phones to work, they will, and when we want the porn to play, it will!

I have 02 broadband, pretty good I would say. Best thing is, on the couple of ocassions I've had (minor) problems there is a freefone number to call and it puts you through to a Scottish bloke who will sort it. Good service.

I have a phone through work, but I shifted Mrs Bigsby's phone to an 02 PAYG and we get teh broadband for six quid or something as long as she puts in a tenner of credit every three months.

I'm pretty sure you won't be getting 20MB speeds in Aberdeen, Sir. 8MB is your whack (unless something magical has happened that I don't know about).

Had no problems since I signed up with O2 in May, however you won't be getting faster speeds yet (if you're in the city centre anyway), they said they were going to unbundle the Denburn Exchange at the end of June and it still hasn't happened.

Their normal service seems fine though...
