That BBC article's pretty laughable, talk about hype.

At the end of the day the Google operating system is just another Linux varient (despite the BBC saying this is a blow to the Linux community, it's actually a massive boost), albeit one with the backing of a very, very large commercial company.

Shit BBC journalism aside, this is going to be big. Google might be the ones to dent Microsoft's grip on the market once and for all.

Yeah I'll probably stick it on my netbook for a go. Can't see it replacing the Windows 7 install I've got on it just now though. Very happy with it, so Chrome will need to be amazingly fast and have a great selection of apps to make me want to switch.

Yeah, me too, I just wish they would do a Web Developer plugin like the Firefox extension because I still use Firefox for testing websites while I'm building them so I can use that toolbar.

I stopped using the Chrome browser because it seems to have loads of problems doing quite basic things like submitting an HTML form correctly. Loved the speed though, if they can fix the little bugs I'll go back to it.

The only issues I've noticed are from very poorly coded websites, the same ones that don't work in Firefox or Safari either.

They seem to have fixed a lot of the bugs with the 2.0.172.33 release they are on now.

Still using Chrome, myself, and I love it. This is an interesting development for netbooks, especially since it'll be going on ARM family CPUs as well.
