i have to say call of duty 4 and skate have been ruling the roost for me this year though halo3 was pretty good too and as soon as mass effect arrives it'll probably be near the top of my list.

Nah nah laddie. It was the funniest most entertaining game I played all of last year. I agree it's not for everyone, but for me Warioware is worth 30 generic fps games any day of the week.

It doesn't matter what variety of cocaine he's on really... you play World of Warcraft. Fnar!

My favourite game of the year was probably my flatmates copy of Call of Duty 4, as it was incredibly well designed despite it's short single player game. Not forgetting Guitar Hero 3 and Halo 3 though, two great games which I actually own.

An honorary mention to Scrabble and Chess, which I also thoroughly enjoyed this year.
