if i were to buy a wii from portugal or germany or somewhere like that and then get an adaptor plug for it, would there be any difference between it and a uk bought one? Can you still play UK games on it or would you have to order from another european country? im pretty clueless to be honest

thanks. i didn't know that google existed but upon using it I can see that I can definitely trust everything that comes up on each search. I now prefer this method much more to asking real people who exist who have first hand knowledge or experience with which to answer to my question and end any doubts I have.

I assume any console within Europe will be of the same region so yes, a console from Portugal would play UK games.

Or if you order from amazon jersey you still may have time to get it before christmas. I know someone who works in Zavvi on union street and they usually get a new shipment in on a monday (usually sells out the same day). You could try phoning them - and probably all the other usual suspects - and see if you could get one set aside?
