I can't begin to think of the amount of times I've longed for my old discman since I replaced it with the iPod. I used to walk out of One Up with a bag full of CDs, slot one in and not stop walking until I'd got through the whole pile. Also, if I went hunting for goodies in Glasgow or elsewhere I'd be able to listen to them on the train back. Not an option with the MP3 player...until now!

yeah, but by the look of it it's not a portable player either, it's a tabletop player. it looks stylish, but functionally retarded.

and how does it protect the cd from getting scratched?

Looks like theres a plastic case just around the cd. It's a very nice design. Think I'll stick to the ipod though.
