Default IE7 New Tabs Problem

Ok, has anyone else had this problem?
I upgraded to IE7 and i was playing around with the tabs, i decided to try and open a link in a new tab and i couldn't. The right click menu just didn't have the option available (only open in new window which kinda defeats the purpose of tabs).
Last night i discovered that my google toolbar somehow disables this option, i hid the toolbar and my right click now says open in new tab.
I like my google toolbar and don't want to get rid of it, but i want to open links in new tabs.
Does anyone have any ideas? Is there another way of opening links? Is firefox an option (or does it have the toolbar quirk)?

firefox IS an option. no tool bar quirks as far as im aware. easier to use (for me anyway) tab function as well as some tasty plug-ins. looks nicer, seems to be quicker as well although im not sure if that is the case.

do not use IE7 its basically just a shit version of firefox. firefox rarely crashes, is easy to use and has lots of good plug ins. Ive heard good things about opera aswel but i have never used it.

Opera web browser: Homepage

Tabbed browsing came first to opera, so did most things

Only main issue I've had with IE7 is that it seems to conflict with hotmail in some bizarre way - basically making your inbox screen look a bit fucked.

Firefox is the way to go by a country mile. I only keep IE for the odd site that doesn't support Firefox.

I've switched to firefox and i'm liking it (but still have to use ie every so often).
However, I did notice that i can't hover over posts in firefox (to see what they say without having to open them) like i used to be able to in IE which is a bit annoying.
Any other firefoxers noticed that?
