Default Computer Problem

Occasionally when I switch on my laptop the toolbar at the botton freezes and I cant click on anything on it.

No viruses detected,so I dont have a scooby whats wrong.

Any help would be great.

Open your task manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del) and end the process 'explorer.exe'. This will stop the taskbar process and it should automatically restart. If it doesn't, go to Start>Run and type in "explorer.exe".

how do you go to start>run if the toolbar process hasn't automatically restarted?

Does it boot into windows first or are you using an acorn?

are you connected to a lan during the occassions that this problem occurs?

if you are then most likely its applying policies

or maybe not all of your startup programs and services havent finished loading, this is usually the cause of this particular problem

Yeah sorry. I was rushing that post because I was about to start an assessed lab in uni.
