BLOODNUT come from Aberdeen and were formed in 2007 from an ex member of thrash metal titans Risactonia and three members of hardcore rockers Radio Lucifer.
"We decided to to name the band after a ex radio lucifer guitarist who had been kicked in the balls on stage, he never got up for a while then days later found out he had ruptured a testical and it filled up with blood, hence BLOODNUT," they explain.
The band started with a mixture of sounds like the previous bands but progressed into something more dangerous and exciting with influences that range from Black Label Society, Slayer, Monster Magnet and Down.
"We've done countless gigs and have won three Fudge Awards for being Most Metal Of Metal and the Best Band In Aberdeen two years running," they beamed.

Starting out in 2OOO, CONTRA have constantly tried to evolve into a genre defying outfit, whilst still remaining true to their punk rock roots and love of reggae, ska and dub. Contra are working hard and writing new material and a possible fifth release may well be on the cards in the near future. In the meantime, please welcome them back to the Moorings for their first show in yonks.

MAN OF THE HOUR are a five piece heavy metal band from Edinburgh, inflenced by bands such as Pantera, Judas Priest, Manowar, Black Sabbath, Motorhead & Metallica.
Have supported Nazareth, Tokyo Dragons & Hayseed Dixie, Anthrax, Paul Di’anno, Cathedral, Conquest Of Steel, Armoured Saint, Ravens Creed, Orange Goblin, Alestorm and The Exploited.
In 2006 Man of the hour went to Dundee (home of the Beano!) to record ‘Destroy The Machines Of Slaughter’. Man of the hour were honoured for thrash metal supreme Jeff Waters of Annihilator offered to master the LP which resulted in it sounding even more heavy metal than it already did.
Their career highlight so far was to support Zakk Wylde's Black Label Society.

On the go since 2005, DOWNFALL are slamming something new on the table. A unique mix of Thrash, Blues and Rock n' Roll, Downfall will get your head banging and your hearing tested. Opening the show at 8.30pmish.
