y'reckon? lemon tree might get disqualified if it's actually saved and i think it'll be quite close between the needles and fiction/action otherwise.

for me, filthpact deserve this

they got out out all over europe, frequently released records all over the world on the likes of profane existance and put on a ton of shows which got the DIY scene up and running again after the sad demise of drakes

Needles for me (shock). They worked so hard and kept plugging away long after other bands would have given up. They left a body of work behind that would put just about every other band from Aberdeen to shame, and the kick up the arse they gave the Aberdeen scene when they started was phenomenal. Will we ever see their likes again?

Incidentally, any chance of the Hidden Masters getting "Best Newcomers"...?

Vintage Dedalus when it was:

Steven Rainey
David Officer
Robert Smith
Alan Bain

Easily one of the most brilliant bands I ever did see live.

What followed after Alan and David left was largely pointless and uninspiring though, sadly.
