Attention! the OFFICIAL FUDGE AWRDS THREAD - your recollections please...

word.

as i nurse my hangover i find it quite difficult to put into words how much fun i think i had last night. i seem to recall wandering around the stage randomly during staccato's set with a video camera. i'm pretty sure i got some nicely framed shots of andy and zig, but it appears i remember what i saw through the viewfinder more than anything that actually happened to me. never mind.

if you remember any little gems of interest from your night, or indeed ANYTHING AT ALL, please post your recollections in this thread, so i can use them in writing a piece for the next zine....

also, i have some programmes/fudge#9's left over. i'll probably put them in one-up today. they're free.

There were loads of ace moments, but my favourite bit was during Staccato Set's "In love with the chorus" song, when Ziggy was singing his "What's wrong with Andy Bass?, I hear you ask" bit. Before he could tell us that Andy was in love with the chorus someone (Maxi?) shouted "He's a cunt!!!"

Andy looked as amused as everyone else

some girl walked up to me and asked if i was in onion terror to which i replied "no". and then "actually I am - I am the mastermind" and then i insulted contra for a while. i was pretty drunk.
i went onstage with ONION TERROR to represent their bass player. jamesy's speeches were the funniest thing i've heard in ages. it was such good fun. i made that guitarist from karloff have his picture taken with me and he didn't really want to which made it funny, nicky casino reading something which didn't seem to relate to anything at all.

mon the wishes!

I have quite a few memories from last night, which I have to say was a fucking good night!!!
*walking out of lemon tree toilets and accidentally flashing a guy
*my friend standing on the back of my dress as I was walking and nearly falling flat on my face
*telling brian fudge that next year the awards should be in july cos its to cold this time of year and speaking about his eyeliner
*meeting the guy I flashed later on in moshulu
*dancing round the dancefloor with paul onion terror
*being really really cold in the back room, how can it get so damn cold in there!!
*losing my double sided sticky tape in moshulu then finding it later on
*Jamesy's speeches
*nicky casinos poem about sharon
*deciding that my red dress is my new favorite item of clothing I own
*telling Hog he had more hair than I thought he did

erm I have lots more but really can't be arsed typing right now. twas a superb night alround and the fudge guys deserve a big pat on the back for it.

My ever lasting memory of that would have be Brian saying '...and James will be handing out the awards to the winners', me then looking at James seeing him holding a tray and thinking 'hmm, handing them awards on trays, very posh' to then go up for the first award for 'Most Missed' for Wibble.....to be given the actual tray as the award!!!

Although to be honest, I thought they worked quite well as awards, especially compared to the rubber ducks of last year. Although I still think the gold bricks were the best.....

EDIT: The other ace thing about last night was finally, after about 8 or 9 months, hearing my jingle being played very loudly at an actual Fudge Night. I was most proud
