I think this is looking decent. I like the colours. The font is not to my liking, however; I'd opt for a san-serif typeface. Though not Comic Sans.

comic sans is awful. it's meant to show as garamond but i'm going to have a play with some others next week and see how it looks.

Go for a nice Century Gothic or 10pt Calibri.

I've tweaked it a little to try and make it easier to read. I've also added google ads which i'd like some feedback on. Does anyone else use their ad service? I don't like the style of them but could use the extra revenue.

How do the Google Ads work? They're not ideal but if they get a bit of extra revenue for you then that can only be a good thing.

click on the ad and i get some money. the advertisers pay different rates but i don't know how that works, so certain ads earn you more money per click.

no one ever clicks them though, i think you need some serious visitor figures before you see a return but it'll hopefully all help towards my goal of doing that for a job rather than my day job just now.
