Just bits of it, especially the first half. To my ears it sounded similar to some of the Stereophonics more recent radio friendly unit shifters. Even Stephen's voice sounded similar to Kelly Jones singing some shit pop-dirge about how crap it is being famous while wearing big sunglasses.

Could just be me though.

Henri got aids/ CANCER/ went to a playgroup and lost the faith in literature..................... is a good instrumental though.

actually, (clears throat) it turns out i have more to say on this subject, Maps/whatever are a good band but they really need Steven, Personally i thought his vocals were simply irritating- but man he could front. without a good singer what are maps/karrta/whatever: personally i dont know, or even care. But its important for steven to come back . yikes. Otherwise it's just guitar shit, and allmost as bad as metal.
wugga-chuggy-wiggoh-ding dong.

anyway, stephens a cock, but he's close to an Aberdonian Morissssssssy.

or Irish Gary Barlow.

fuck,

anyway.

i was like that about the "1864 in art" cd, till i realised they were a fantasy fictional band.

word gets around and performance and cocktails were great albums. i used to love them. the sombrero/country hat stage was rubbish and whilst the new stuff is gash too it does have the odd decent tune (that dakota tune is pretty rubbish but very catchy radio/tv fodder)

‘Word Gets Around’ was decent – ‘Looks Like Chaplin’, great song, pity they didn’t stay in that vein really. ‘Mr. Writer’ off the 3rd album was also great, I hoped for a new direction of slightly weird off-kilter stuff like that but instead they pursued duets with Tom Jones and general dullville.
Much like our very own Travis really, started off OK then just produced song after song of one word titles repeated as chorus FOREVER and EVER.

for me the only bad song on the first album was goldfish bowl, p & c had some duffers like hurry up and wait, a minute longer.
