Default Linkin Park - Minutes to Midnight

Anyone had a listen to this yet? I downloaded yesterday, and I really like it. It's a lot more chilled out than previous albums, although they still have the rockier songs in it. It's had a few mixed reviews from hardcore LP fans, but I certainly think that it's a grower.

Stand out tracks for me are Given Up, Bleed It Out, No More Sorrow and In Between (Shinoda sings on this one). What I've done also stands out, but I heard it quite a few times now. I'm sure they'll eventually all be favourites but those are the ones that impacted on me in the first listen.

havent heard the new album, but from the single, they are definately a better band now.

All because of Rick Rubin too, the guys a king amongst men!

what do you mean? Like a good or bad review?

Doesn't really matter anyway, because NME know fuck all about good music. Bunch of band wagon scenesters. Pish! Same for Kerrang!

NME putting the boot into a popular american rock band?? Surely not!

Ugh, I'm loath to side with NME but so far I'm unimpressed. I heard that they said it was a big step forward for them, but to my untrained ear they sound the same as ever. However, I won't give up just yet, especially after hearing here that there is something worthwhile on it...
I think it might indeed be a grower
