Default New band....DEATHQUNT!

hello

It would be cool to hear what the people of aberdeen...music.com think of my new band in Leeds, DeathQunt. we played at moshulu a couple weeks ago to about 10 people but hopefully we will be playing in town again sometime during summer.

its kind of like...free punk jazz noise metal -ish

www.myspace.com/deathqunt

Cheers

It's well performed although not particularly to my tastes. Usually I can at least give some sort of criticism but this sort of music is so mental I don't what is meant to be what!

Now Spastic Ink on the other hand... ron jarzombek's (formerly of watchtower) band.

Sounds very much like something John Zorn would be part of.

Naked City minus the blasts and screams which aint a bad thing.

Not bad at all. I don't really hear any overt "grindcore" influences, just a few parts where it sounds like your guitar's broken. Several of the horn player's licks had a definite Zappa-esque quality to them (I'm thinking Uncle Meat/Burnt Weeny Sandwich era here). Overall very proficient and enjoyable. I'll do my best to come see you guys next time you're up.
