Just read the thread started by chris and wanted to repay the complement, the guys and i thought Tigerfin were excellent the other night. also wanted to take the oportuinity to thank them again for their help with the bass amp and snare stand.
Echomind are playing the battle of the bands at Drummonds on the 7th and would appreciate it if people came along to show them some support.
Its always satisfying when people are talking about the band and all involved are grateful for the good things people have to say about them, having said that all comments are welcome as constructive criticism is as valuable as praise.
The website is in the process of being constructed and will hopefully be up and running soon, details will be available here asap.
There is also an EP in the pipeline which will hopefully be out within the next couple of months.
Anyway, nothing like writing a novel on you first post eh?
Hope to see a few of you at Drummonds on the 7th

I've seen Echomind once before, supporting the Izzys at Kef. I thought they were quite good, so I may come see them at the battle of the bands. I know how much it sucks for a band when Drummonds is looking a little too spacious.

Just to keep anyone who might be interested informed echomind won their heat of the battle of the bands on monday night, beating strong competition from mine. the boys played a stormer of a gig and this can only bode well for the future.
the semis are in july and we hope to see a few more people there, but before that the boys are supporting Amy sawers at drummonds on the 3rd of july.
If anything comes up before then details will be posted here

Shit! That's my organisation skills for you, didn't realised I'd missed that BOTB heat 'til right now.
Semis in July, huh? You may just be up against The mighty Void... Be afraid! Be mildly afraid!!!
I believe we are on the 12th, so it's probably the same gig. It'll be like a synth-war, only without actually having THAT much synth... But still, everything in moderation.

Echomind...sounds rather like Echobrain...a band a certain bass playing ex-member of metallica was/is in.

i thought echomind were great, they really looked and acted like a band many more gigs older than what they are, a lot of bands round here could learn lots about echomind's ability to put on a great show, they were hard to pinpoint musically as well. the intro was great (if not just a little too long), i look forward to watching them progress....

Yeah, thought echomind were really good, one problem though, is there not another band that has the same name thats on the go???
