Mumdance is an umbrella term used to describe the various activities of the enigmatic Jack Adams. After spending two years working for Vice Magazine putting on all their events, Jack decided to fly the nest and do his own thing: DJing, making music and putting on parties.

Barely three months into making music, Mumdance caught the attention of Diplo by bootlegging his remix of the Black Lips' "Veni Vidi Vicii" and giving it an unusual baile - grime glaze by adding beats, bleeps and bars by East London grime MC Jammer. This unofficial bootleg received national radio play from Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1 and Sinden on Kiss FM, as well as being a huge hit on the club and blog circuit.

Mumdance DJ sets comprise of many different genres of bass driven music re-contextualised and played in quick succession. He is known for live edits, loops and effects, as well as spanning almost every electronic genre in a set. Expect garage, bassline, grime, electro, fidget, niche, dubstep, funky, minimal, techno, house and jungle all effortlessly mixed together like a delicious musical smoothie. The success of this formula is reflected in the wide range of events that Mumdance has been booked to play, ranging from rowdy East End grime raves, to chic fashion and media events.

This young Parisian really is at the centre of the current French electro revolution.

Noob worked alongside close friend Brodinski earlier this year to release Peanuts Club. Arguably the hottest track of the summer with heavyweight DJ’s Erol Alkan, Tiga and A-Trak. The B-side track Cajou Club is another absolute bomb, maybe even bigger than Peanuts Club, and more evidence that France has produced yet another two major players in dance music.

Noob’s really been hitting his stride lately with terrific remixes of Brodinski’s, Oblivion, Tiga’s summer smash hit Shoes and also the massive Lyposuct by D.I.M. & Tai out on Boys Noize Records.

Noob is consistently releasing great records and it’s not hard to see why he’s been described as “One of Turbo’s rising stars of the year” by Turbo Recordings label owner Thomas Von Party.
