not sure what sort of band to create but looking for like minded indiviudals to throw some ideas together and see what happens

ive got a few ideas that could be structured and added to made into songs

ideally looking for a bassist and a drummer to get started but the more instruments the better

i'm 23 and stay in aberdeen, looking to jam at toms one night when we get something sorted

no interest in you sounding like kate bush or the walker brothers, just someone who's confident in their own individual skin.

happy to make songwriting slots available. new album beign recorded at mo. so amount of comittment needs to be clear from beginning.

fast, slow, loud, quiet, moving, dancing, humour, sad, yodelling we can incorporate anything. at the mo the core of the band are 5:-
guitars/vocal
bass
drums
sax
organ/rhodes/whistles/mouthy/vocal etc

plus a load of other resoruces available

so getting on with folk is essential.

My influences include, As I lay Dying, Alexisonfire, Emmure, Parkway Drive, The Acacia Strain, Unearth, Architects, Misery signals, Born of Osiris, Evergreen Terrace, Killswitch, Fellsilent etc. (fair wee list there? Hope someone sees something they like...)

I'm 18 and I've got plenty stage experience (although haven't been in a proper band for an age).

If not, I've got a drummer and a bassist/guitarist on call to start something if i can get a few more folk in.

My influences basically say it all, I'm just looking for something energetic, heavy and fun. Also, myself and the bassist/guitarist are in possession of some pretty awesome synth type hardware that I wouldn't mind putting to good use on a Born of Osiris/old Still Remains type project if anyone fancies it?

You'll be happy to improvise and also play some bass or percussion from time to time.
You will have a open mind and wide interest interest in music over many genres.

We haven't got any preconceived notion as to what sound we're aiming for and we are not interested in playing covers though the odd one may appear in rehearsals from time to time, usually twisted out of form.

You'll be doing some lead and rhythm work, and will know when to take the lead and when to step back and be part of the unit.

Vocals would also be and advantage.

Our jams are usually 3 hours long and we use Musical Vision rehearsal rooms in the city centre. The cost is £12.50 an hour and we all pay equal share on the night.
The aim is to enjoy ourselves making music and to make good music.

Looking for a drummer mainly but it would be good to hear from any musicians (what an ugly word) with similar interests.

Main influences are: Sonic Youth, Pavement, My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Kyuss, Nirvana, Beck, Radiohead, Electric Wizard, Sebadoh, Dinosaur Jr, Mudhoney, Love, Orange Goblin, Pixies, Pumpkins, Spiritualized, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Jesus and Mary Chain, etc (I could go on for some time here).

We have set up a MySpace page with some tunes to give folk an idea of what we're up to:
