Default The Quote Function
Can we please insist that people use the quote function properly?

If you use the quote function you should be quoting the other person. At most you should be selecting a relevant section of their post to comment upon, or breaking down their post into sections to respond to each point separately.

Lately I've noticed more and more people using the quote function for ever more "wacky" purposes, altering and editing other users posts for no reason.

I realise that in most cases there is no ill intention from the people who do this, but it is a rather annoying and silly practice and if allowed to continue I suggest it will be increasingly abused in future.
