you know how you cant comment on a Event after the event (for obvious reasons)? Well, would it be possible to allow comments to be posted, but for them to automatically appear in the Feedback Forum?

i know it takes little hassle to create a new thread in the Feedback forum, but im lazy and find it pointless starting a new thread when all i really want to say was "this was a good gig", although comments like that still provide feedback for the bands, and can lead to better, more constructive advice.

im sorry if this doesnt make any sense at all. i'll try explaining it better when ive had more sleep and feel less sick.

it's a ong shot, but couldn't the gig threads be moved to the feedback forum after the gigs taken place? like how the event flyers move to the archive section?

i realise this might be pushing the poor mods too far...

Seriously, I don't know if it's possible to do this. It would also create confusion in the Feedback Forum as it stands now, as it not only hosts discussion on gigs, but on band demos and other musical performances. Moving threads en masse into the FF may drown out threads that were seeking feedback in the first place.

Maybe we do need to look at how the forums are laid out,so that it is easier for users to confine discussions on a particular topic or event to one forum, rather than searching through several posts in different forums to get the information they need.

Anyone got any ideas that don't involve me slaving over a hot mouse all day?

i'm not really in favour of yet more sub-forums but i think it could work here.

if you split the Feedback Forum into categories like Recordings, Gigs, Other etc then as soon as a gig that has been posted in the Gigs and Events gets a reply *after* the date it moves (if there is no way to do this automatically then i guess its too much work for a minor point) to the Gig section of the Feedback forum...

Can you not get it to move to the feedback forum as soon as someone posts a post? So the ones that don't have a post just stay in gigs and events?

I managed the other day, but you had to hit the 'new reply' button and do it that way instead of quick posting, where you get the invalid link page...
