I get pissed at people who constantly come into my threads and wreck them with drivelous comments, I just get the feeling their trying to impress someone above them.

Maybe in a couple of cases, but in the vast majority of cases, people are saying it because they want to say it, not because they're trying to impress anyone. I think if they were trying to impress others, they would be doing it elsewhere, not on the Wasteland. Again, have you considered that maybe, just maybe, you're just not that funny when it comes to comedy threads?

See, I think you misjudge the mentality of people on here. It's obvious that you're here for the Aberdeen aspect, not the music aspect - and I think people are reacting to you accordingly.

It's partially about respecting others, yes. All I ask is that you don't slag the fuck outta me if I post something that one or two of you may have seen before! And if they have seen it before, they don't need to ruin the thread by telling us this fact.

Maybe. But to be honest, I don't care. I'm not looking for an over-whelming response to a comedy thread, I'd prefer the thread to be empty - than have some member throwing abuse about becuase they have recieved an Email with the same content. It's a matter of respect, and I have time to respect others threads, so why is so hard for someone to do the same.

Cloud lets be frank ..No-one is impressed with your lengthy posts as lets face it your as popular as a stunner with vd around here aswell.....

Can i ask YOU cloud what is your connection with the aberdeen scene ...As i appreciate some of us make no secret of having nothing to do with most other sections but we like the wastelands.. This doesnt mean we dont support our local bands by going to live band nights ...Batlle of the bands.......Or any other night out up town that contains an aberdeen band.......

Like you i also donated to this site..And this wasnt for respect or thinking we had more control than others ..... Just we support the sound of music not the making.....(its the fans that make a bands career no? ).... We support this websites hard work and dedication for bringing us the latest news on supporting local bands....... Again isnt that what your involvment is in the SCENE. (just we remeber what the word scene means not your interpratation scene kiddy)

bux personaly isnt in a band NO but he has written a damn few excellent songs for a good few bands..... (Ok they might have split now) but thats neither here nor there ...

I totally get what Bux is on about, and agree with a lot of the points made.

I think the point is, if you're regular members of other forums, you'll realise how this forum lacks in aspects. There's a big negative feeling around the forums, and it's something that's hard to stop.
I guess when new people come to the boards, they think this is the proper way to act, to be overly critical in no positive way in the slightest.

I mean with JaseyBoi's thread about the optical illusion. Yeah, i had seen it before too, but if i was going to reply, i would say something along the lines of "yeah, that's a cool illusion", and speak about it in whatever way. I wouldn't think of critisizing him for posting it...

I'm not a big user here at all, but I lurk around often, and have done for a long time. I guess the main reason is what's said here. Other places i go to support what others are saying. I mean obviously there's big debates and the rest of it, but in good taste.

Then again, I do love the arguements here.
