KENNY HAWKES


Kenny (Brighton) started DJing at 18 and DJ'd in clubs around Southern Europe. In the 90's he came across pirate radio station 'Girls FM' where he became station manager. 'Girls FM' went on to become the the most ledgendary underground music station in London boasting DJ's including one of Kenny's friends and fellow resident DJ's at Space Bar Rhumba, Luke Solomon which they ran for 7yrs.

Since then he has DJ'd internationally across the world and of course producing many classics including ‘Ashley’s War’, ‘Sleaze Walking’ & (my fave!) ‘Play the Game’ featuring Louise Carver.

Most recently Kenny has paired up with David Parr producing insanely catchy electronic house music, crossing the electro deep- and tech-house divides for Rekids, Arcobaleno and 20:20 Vision.

His sets always have an air of quality, flowing through different styles of music – modern soul - jackin’ house - minimal tech - Detroit techno – and mark him as a true house DJ with depth and soul.
