Re-reading Porno by Irvine Welsh. After reading Bedroom Secrets Of The Masterchefs, I have been back to Trainspotting, Glue and now Porno.

some of Nathaniel Hawthorne's short stories for uni, as well as 'The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym' by Edgar Allen Poe which I'm really enjoying.

I find some of it to be a bit far fetched. By some I mean most.

I just finished reading "High Rise" by J G Ballard, it was good but the 70's futurism feels a bit clunky to me, I think it's just because of ballards age. I've been thumbing through "The Atrocity Exhibition" aswell which seems pretty promising so far. Looking forward to the chapter "why I want to fuck ronald reagan".

I'm reading "Money" by Martin Amis at the moment too, it's good, definately a book guys will enjoy. It's the first book of his I've read but I will definately be buying some more. I can see why he has been accused in the past of being a mysoginist but I think there is a great deal of parody involved with characters such as John Self in this book.

currently reading the constant gardener. tis very good so far and really puts you in mind of old etonian foreign office bastards conspiring to rule the planet. seems fairly well paced so far and with well constructed characters and a decent depth of plot.
