Default The Black Magician Trilogy by trudi canavan

hey, has anyone read this series. It's pretty awesome. It kept me gripped so i had to read all 3 books in 3 days. good charactors , good story. highly recommended

It does get a little childish kinda at parts in the third book. but then makes up for it nearer the end

I read this trilogy last year. I didn't realise it was aimed at a teenage audience when I bought it but it certainly crosses the gap into an adult read.
The Magicians guild reminded me of some sort of Academy that Gandalf might have attended.
Really good. Brought back good memories of playing Dungeons and Dragons, especially with the theives guilds.
Worth a read. If you like Potter, this is darker and more realistic. However, it still doesn't beat Terry Goodkinds 'The Wizards First Rule'.
