Children of Bodom are not Power Metal, neither are Dream Theater. Apart from that a nice selection going up.

I just can't getmy head round power metal....

PLEASE..

Reccommend me an album that would be worthwhile and i`ll go and buy it....

To date Power Metal and really shrilly female vocal led Bangra are the two genres and sub genres that I can`t really get into AT ALL.

I prefer Tool to Dream Theatre.

I like Coheed & Cambria.

I like melody and harmonies (vocal) and pinch harmonics and crushing riffs.

I also love odd time signatures and jazz (freeform).

Based on ALL this then....
Hit me with the horn twenty.

OK, ok I'll give you a list that I think you should try in the following order (maybe download a song or 2 before you buy...)

1. Dragonforce - Sonic Firestorm
2. Iced Earth - Something Wicked This Way Comes
3. Stratovarius - Visions
4. Blind Guardian - Live
5. Lost Horizon - A Flame to the Ground Beneath
6. Rhapsody - Power of the Dragonflame
7. Hammerfall - Renegade
8. Kamelot - Karma
9. Symphony X - The Odyssey
10. Helloween - Keeper of the Seven Keys pt.2

Ok there's 10 for now to get you started, have fun!!!
