Don't suppose you've heard of Mithras have you, Daniel? They supported BS on their last tour, they play fantasy metal with dozens of effects pedals and 1120bpm drumming. I know their live drummer too, I may need lessons from him...... |

Elements pt.2 is awful - but pt.1 is fantastic! Check out Visions to see the older stuff - and Fright Night is by far the best guitarwork album from them... you may like that better still. GB - I love that album but all of Black Atom seem to collectively hate it, can't figure out why!! Demon's & Wizards... BLood on my Hands is awesome, also Fidldler on the Green is the best ballad ever written ever (about a girl who died, some sort of car accident i think). BTW, check here... http://www.aberdeen-music.com/forums...742#post354742 That's all for now. Last edited by Doc Ascension; 22-04-2005 at 10:45. |

I have no shame in saying I fookin' love TGB. I have two other IE albums, but don't like them as much. They have some awesome songs, but quite a few average ones.
I'd love to see them live though. I have a bootleg from last year's tour, they only played thier really good songs (the ones I've heard anyway) and Ripper makes them even better. They didn't play The Reckoning though  but they did the whole of Gettusburg as an encore so that made up for it ![]() |

Maybe it's just when I got into Iced Earth, but Dark Saga and Something Wicked will always be easily my favourite two albums by them!
I had this song ages ago called 'Storming Across Heaven' by DragonLAND... it had some good moments, but also some uber fromage. Dont' know if you've heard much by them? (I think I've quoted the lyrics here before) |
