The aberdeen job market is actually really good (especially when you look at the rest of the UK). There's the oil exhibition at the start of September. That would get you some decent pennies for a week when you first arrive. They employ tons of people.
In general, I'd get yourself signed up to a few agencies. Fircroft, Office Angels, etc. They cover a lot of the temping and admin jobs in the offices - mainly oil companies... no surprise. There are always jobs on the go, so as long as you're presentable and enthusiastic, you'll have no trouble. You will probably have to work in Altens Industrial Estate though (South side of the city). Avoid Dyce if you don't have a car, the transport links are hellish from the city centre. |
