Did you actually pay attention to what he said?
He was criticising the fact that the LTA continues to keep people on central contracts who haven't proved themselves at all and who need wildcards to get into Wimbledon - they should be trying to get into Wimbledon on their own merit, rather than through a wildcard.
This is money that the LTA is screaming about not having enough of - and Murray believes (as do I!) that the money should be spent on up-and-coming tennis players - which makes a hell of a lot more sense.
Murray has flourished in spite of the system in the UK, not because of the system - if you ask anyone with any knowledge about tennis, they'll tell you that the LTA is a dreadful governing body which pours money down the drain.
