IDA MARIA
Ida Maria is a 23-year-old rousing female songstress from Norway, just signed to Sony/BMG, and fresh from an appearance on Jools Holland. She mixes a dash of a Gallagher's gob, a sprinkling of Winehouse's recklessness, a splash of Bjork's pixie like chic, an unhealthy slice of her hero Iggy Pop's live performance style and the musical sensibility of Chrissie Hynde. And not to mention a bucket load of infectious material from foot-stomping anthem to bittersweet acoustic melancholy.
