Away from Lesnar it was a pretty good show, haven't watched any MMA for ages and it seems the bigger budgets and the acquisition of Pride have helped the UFC get a bit more diversity in it's fighters. Much more stand up and technical stuff last night and less ground and pound. Made it much more entertaining to watch for me. Having said that it was pretty funny when Boetsch threw Heath headfirst into the cage and the floor. No technique, just agression.

Pretty impressed that Lesnar wanted to take on somebody as good as Mir in only his 2nd MMA fight. Most guys wouldnt go anywhere near somebody like that until they had more experience. Mir's BJJ is top notch, and this was always going to be Lesnar's biggest problem.....but until the knee bar, Lesnar was kicking Mir's ass!
IMO, put Lesnar against any of the other heavyweights who perhaps arent so strong on the ground (eg. Silvia, Liddell etc) I'd favour Lesnar. No question.
PS. Boetsch looked amazing.....total fucking animal!
