Actually, the "Server too busy" messages were more down to a mis-configuration on my part that only got corrected today and so should now hopefully be a thing of the past.
However, in saying that,
SEO is at least partially responsible for the increase traffic as there is a lot more indexing of the site by search engines taking place and this combined with a general increase in usage in the site (remember you can't see the users who have set themselves as invisible) is as good excuse as any to upgrade the hardware which is now over 3 years old.
