. I'll second Koolsville's sentiment, and most of the other folk on here in saying well done, and Snafu really deserve it. It's a highly impressive balancing act to retain the authentically underground programming of the The Pelican / Subway, but in non-skanky surroundings where, I reckon it is normally fairly quick to get served, and there's a really ice range of drinks. To make a success of being a live venue, & comedy nights, innovative magazine too, is even more impressive. As well as Mo & Amanda's hard work, tenacity and bravery I think they've got really good folk around them, as Steven says above. And the Dirty Hearts night seems to have been a masterstroke too.
As for not Snafu not being in the same being league as the Arches, I love the Arches too, but it's Weedgie-centric non-sense to say Snafu isn't in the same league.
