im DJing in tuts on Sunday at the Your Sound event downstairs in the bar.

4pm to 8pm

Basically, scottish music press and management people , media etc gather for an open session and bands can freely go up to them and ask for advice on whatever they want (people wear tags) and give out demos etc and generally mill about with "industry" types.

Anyway, yes i know it sounds bit crap but its actually not a bad way of putting names to faces of some of the promoters in Scotland and maybe making some press contacts or other things.

We went down to one last time we were in glasgow and found it pretty good for a couple of things (although you have to basically have no shame and just walk up to people and sell your band - which im shit at - bobb did it all for us!).

Thought id post here for two things-

1. if anyone wants to give me a stack of demos to dish out in the bar ill happily help you out, even just a few and ill see who comes in and dish them out to anyone good

2. i get to play whatever i want in the DJ set so if you want me to play your demo, give me a copy also (i quite fancy playing more local stuff when im DJing too so cds are welcome)

Ill be at DHC tonight from 10pm and Moshulu Saturday from 10pm so head in and give me cds either time and ill hand them out in glasgow no bother if anyone wants

maybe stick some press packs in them too!
