josie lawrence! yes, thank goodness someone else recognises!
there are masses of great female performers, what about julia davis, jennifer coolidge, amelia bullmore, sally phillips, rebecca front, ruth jones, jane turner, gina riley, magda szubanski, catherine o'hara, etc, i could go on.. for every bit of overrated catherine tate/ 3 non blondes/ little miss jocelyn shite that bbc3 puts on, there's still an awful lot of great stuff.
and as for the men! well lets begin with my idols colin mochrie, ryan stiles, tim vine, andy kaufman, larry david, steven wright, fred willard, christopher guest, eddie izzard, spike milligan and anything goons related, sean lock, sean hughes, stephen fry, hugh laurie, mark gatiss, rich hall, pete & dud, dave gorman, armando iannucci, chris morris, vic & bob, newman & baddiel, greg proops, john sessions, jonny trunk, neil hamburger, and so on and so on..
