I've got to thank KarmaTsunami for pointing me in the direction of Murakami.
I've just finished the Great Sheep Chase and it was ace. I've now got Dance Dance Dance and Norwegian wood on order.
Its very readable and a great story.
I'm now looking for a girl with beautiful ears!
