I'm gonna wait till I hear what they sound like sans Stayley before I pass comment. Jerry Cantrell is a pretty good singer in his own right (albeit with a far less distinctive voice than Stayley) and he wrote the bulk of the songs. Mind you, surely someone else will have to sing to do all the harmonies. I don't think certain songs will work with just one singer ("Would?" and "Down In A Hole" being two notable examples). |
