'our' one is now sitting pretty in my wheelie bin where it belongs.
we're back to using the 50 pound panasonic job i got 6 years ago from my folks when i moved out of the parental home. it still has a lovely smelly thing in its vacuum bag! mm and it still works
think i might just buy the new version
