EDIT: Of course it doesn't really matter as its just a list and people can make lists however long they choose. Also, I used the word "seem" and its different forms (seems, seemingly) far too much. Sorry.
Thing is a lot of these bands were 70's bands when prog was certainly as relevant a genre as hardcore etc is today, the top 16 albums are all 70's, it would be silly to see this list of modern artists though some modern artists have made it in the list. What you also see is a tendency towards the older prog even in newer artists, Marillion have 2 albums in their the latest one is Mixsplaced Childhood, an album which Fish is celebrating the 20th anniversary of tonight in Aberdeen. The list does seem to have some huge ommisions 'Clutching at Straws' by Marillion is a great album, and even more surprising is the fact 'Brave' isnt in there, the fact that 2112 by Rush isnt in the top 10 seems a huge mixup as its an album that defined heavier prog, Coma Divine by Porcupine Tree above Genesis' 'a trick of the tail' - come on.

Like all lists these are subjective but there does seem to be some pretty wide of the mark things in here, I would ceratinly never rate Arena above the bands who are missed out, bearing in mind Arena's drummer was kicked out of Marillion for being crap :p More improtantly where's Transatlantic and Kino on that list ?

Cheers
